Houses in Falmer village, as seen on my picnic-walk on Friday. Note construction out of flintstone, common to the South Downs area because the soil is composed mainly of chalk and flint. Note also the different-colored doors to each house--this is one of my favorite parts of British architecture! Those of you who've read Stargirl might guess why...
